The town of Mojácar and the nearby area of Vera have an emergency clinic and the highly-regarded Huércal Overa Hospital located within a 20-30 minute drive. There are numerous English-speaking healthcare professionals available, including dentists, doctors, eye specialists, osteopaths, clinics and chemists. There is the large hospital in Almeria, Torrecardénas and further private hospitals.  The Red Cross Ambulance service and various animal clinics are also available for those in need.
